A clip-on cable J-hook is supported by a bent plate hanger anchored directly to an overhead concrete deck. The 1/4-inch by 1-inch bent plate is secured to the underside of the deck using a 1-1/4-inch concrete shot pin with a 1-inch embedment and 0.145-inch shank diameter, complying with ESR-2024. The J-hook accommodates a maximum cable weight of 10 pounds and maintains a maximum drop spacing of 3 feet.
