A one-and-one-quarter-inch Schedule 40 pipe handrail, measuring one point six six zero inches in actual outer diameter, connects to a cross-laminated timber wall via a handrail bracket. The continuous pipe features a bent return with a four-inch radius, maintaining a one-sixteenth-inch gap and a two-and-one-half-inch clearance from the wall assembly. A factory-attached splice joins the bent portion of the handrail prior to shipping. The assembly is detailed with a minimum one-foot extension and dimensions indicating a four-inch bend radius.
