A bent u-shaped steel closure plate supports a concrete slab infill over a structural steel beam flange. The concrete slab thickness "t" matches the adjacent slab and contains two continuous number 4 reinforcing bars placed horizontally. The closure plate thickness is determined per the typical slab closure detail and welded to the steel beam top flange with a one-half inch fillet weld at a twenty-four inch spacing. Dimensions and positioning are sized per plan.
