Steel floor beams connect to a hollow structural section column utilizing a through-column slot shear tab assembly. The shear tab is slotted directly through the hollow structural section column web and connected to the beam web with structural bolts. The number and size of the bolts in the first row and any additional bolts in the second row are specified per the structural schedule and plan. The beam size is referenced from the structural schedule and set relative to the top of steel elevation shown on plan.
