Electrical and telecommunications rough-in requirements for a single door equipped with access control devices. A six-inch by six-inch by four-inch junction box is mounted above the ceiling for door interface and power, connecting via a one-inch conduit to the nearest cable tray. A three-quarter-inch conduit extends to the door frame for the electrified strike and door position switch. A one-inch conduit runs down the wall to a four-inch by four-inch by two-and-one-eighth-inch deep back box with a single-gang device ring flush mounted for the card reader. A separate three-quarter-inch conduit connects to a single-gang back box flush mounted horizontally four inches above the center of the door frame on the secure side for a request-to-exit sensor. Pathway requirements shown are diagrammatic and subject to final coordination with security shop drawings.
