An underground telecommunications conduit duct bank is buried with a minimum depth of twenty-four inches to the top of the concrete encasement below grade. The top surface of the duct bank features a crown crowned to a peak one inch above the sides, with four-inch minimum side clearances and three-inch minimum typical spacing between four-inch conduits. A six-inch wide orange detectable warning tape is placed twelve inches minimum above the top of the duct bank. The surrounding excavation is backfilled with compacted backfill placed per project specifications.
