A four-inch galvanized iron pipe penetrates the roof assembly to reach the telecom room ceiling space below, secured with flashing at the roof penetration. A wireless access external enclosure with a maximum weight under fifteen pounds mounts to the pipe via two twelve-inch long strut members and quarter-inch diameter U-bolt clamps in two places. A Cat6A data cable routes from the enclosure into the weatherhead fitting through a water-sealed grommet. The conduit requires grounding to the building, and all roof penetrations and weatherhead attachments must follow methods approved by the architect and structural engineer.
