About this detail

A concrete slab construction joint over a corrugated steel deck separates a first pour and a second pour. Continuous reinforcing steel runs per plan across the assembly with a spacing of forty-eight inches from the joint line. Where typical slab reinforcing is not continuous through the joint, additional rebar matching the slab reinforcing is placed at half the standard spacing on center extending a maximum distance of half the spacing on each side of the construction joint.
