An orange backboard constructed from a four-by-eight plywood sheet finished with two coats of white fire-retardant paint is mounted on the wall to support telecommunications equipment. A 25-pair outside plant cable routes through a two-by-four-inch polyvinyl chloride conduit with a minimum of one spare into a four-inch splice case. Primary and secondary hybrid protection connects to an electrical panel and ties into the building ground. A number six American Wire Gauge minimum telecom bonding backbone extends from the panel via an exothermic weld to the structural building steel. A one-to-25-pair communications multi-purpose riser cable is secured vertically using nylon cable straps.
