A wireless access point unit is suspended six inches below the ceiling line using a mounting bracket attached to an outlet device backbox. The backbox is supported by a threaded rod mounted directly to the building structure above. A horizontal link connects to a field-terminated plug on the wireless access point unit. A secondary pathway extends upward to an accessible ceiling or primary pathway.
