Double doors feature concealed door contacts installed three inches from the active leaf edges and connected to an eight by eight by six inch security junction box positioned above the door. A local alarm sounder mounts eighteen inches above the finished ceiling line or at one hundred sixty inches above finished floor when no ceiling exists. Plenum cables run from the junction box through a minimum three-quarter inch typical conduit to the security panel location and to the nearest cable tray or accessible ceiling. A one point five inch conduit routes alongside the main junction box connections between secured and unsecured zones.
