The assembly joins two sections of a typical ladder rack end-to-end using a heavy-duty butt splice kit secured with through-bolts, washers, and nuts. A number six grounding wire bridges the joint with ring terminal lugs fastened to the side rails by grounding screws to maintain electrical continuity across the raceway.
