This diagram establishes the maximum height and depth limitations for operable parts and controls requiring an obstructed high side reach. The maximum depth of the obstruction is limited to ten inches with a maximum reach height of four feet, or a maximum obstruction depth of twenty inches with a maximum reach height of three feet ten inches. The height of the obstructing element itself is limited to a maximum of two feet ten inches.
