A three-hour fire-rated precast concrete wall panel leg connection features an L4x3x3/8 by sixteen-inch structural steel angle welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The assembly contains a P-1 embed plate with welded stud anchors, number four U-bars, U-mesh, and number four by sixty-inch vertical reinforcement bars as specified per plan. Expanded polystyrene insulation is removed locally to provide six inches of clearance from the headed stud anchors and one inch of clearance elsewhere. Surface reinforcing and vertical reinforcement at the panel edge are provided in accordance with the architectural elevations.
