An exterior wall assembly features cold-formed steel studs spaced per section with interior gypsum board and batt insulation. The exterior side includes one and one-half inches of continuous insulation board, a cement tile backer board, a weather resistive barrier, mortar, and exterior ceramic tile per architectural specifications. Number ten screws fasten the cement board through the insulation to the wall studs at eight inches on center vertically. The screws penetrate the stud flange by a minimum of three full threads.
