One-sided and two-sided structural steel connections join beams sized per plan to hollow structural section members. The connection utilizes four three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolts installed in standard holes within the beam and plate. A three-eighths-inch stiffener plate is centered on the hollow structural section with a quarter-inch weld on three sides. Additional quarter-inch typical welds secure the framing members as specified by the structural engineering design.
