A rectangular concrete column is reinforced with vertical steel bars and interior ties sized per the schedule. The concrete mix maintains one and one-half inches of clear cover to the outermost reinforcement. Each corner features a one-inch chamfer. Dowels anchor into the footing with standard hooks, and column reinforcement is lapped per detail 12 on sheet S0.10.
