A channel stringer connects to a hollow structural section column utilizing an angle seat and bolted web connections. A C12 channel stringer bears on a L 6x6x1/2 angle seat welded to the column with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The stringer web connects to a framing plate with three bolts spaced at three inches vertically, with a one-and-a-half-inch edge distance. An additional channel member extends beyond the column, sized per the structural plans. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld secures components where indicated.
