The stair stringer bears onto a concrete slab on grade supported by a twelve-inch thickened slab footing reinforced with two continuous number four rebars. An angle measuring three by three by one-fourth inches and four inches long connects to the stringer via a one-fourth-inch fillet weld. A three-fourth-inch diameter expansion bolt secures the angle into a two-inch long-slotted hole to accommodate movement.
