Two structural angles sized L76x76x6.4 span horizontally beneath the open web steel joist chords, with a maximum spacing of 1800 millimeters. A P1000 Unistrut or hollow structural section option is provided for the hanging assembly, fastened with threaded rods that must not have oversized holes. The fan mount is installed per the manufacturer requirements and specifically excludes connection to a single open web steel joist. Angles may optionally be welded directly to the open web steel joist chord.
