Tiered theater seating support framing utilizes concrete over a metal deck bearing on a wide-flange beam and cold-formed metal framing. The assembly features 400S162-43 bearing studs at 16 inches on center with nested 400T150-43 tracks secured by two 0.157-inch diameter by 1 1/2-inch powder-actuated fasteners per stud at 16 inches on center, and two number 12 screws per stud. The concrete slab over the metal deck connects with three continuous number 3 reinforcing bars and number 3 dowels at 16 inches on center, lapped with the slab reinforcement. A 3/4-inch gap is maintained at structural intersections, and the metal deck provides a minimum 1 1/2-inch bearing at the seating edge.
