A channel stringer provided by a pre-engineered stair manufacturer bears directly on a wide flange beam, coped as required for a flush bearing condition. The stringer is welded to the wide flange beam by the stair manufacturer. Fourteen-gauge minimum bent plate pan treads feature concrete-filled treads with a two-inch maximum thickness, radiused nosing, and a fourteen-gauge closure. The assembly interfaces with a composite floor deck per plan, with concrete topping placement delayed in this region until the stair is installed.
