A steel beam connects via a one-inch thick by ten-inch wide flange plate welded with a partial joint penetration groove weld and a five-sixteenth inch fillet weld. The assembly is secured using four one-and-a-quarter inch diameter by four-inch long F1852 high-strength bolts arranged with a six-inch horizontal gauge and standard edge distances. Vertical bolt spacing measures four inches with edge distances of three-and-a-half inches and four-and-a-half inches along the twelve-inch total height.
