Two corner miter connection conditions join steel framing members. Option A uses a steel beam per plan with a partial-joint-penetration weld at the web and top and bottom flanges, with the weld ground smooth as required and sealed as detailed. Option B uses a steel channel per plan with a similar partial-joint-penetration weld at the web and top and bottom flanges, also ground smooth and sealed as required. Both corner details are typical for rigid frame or perimeter steel configurations.
