A continuous five-sixteenth-inch bent plate is positioned at the perimeter face of cladding and bears on a structural steel beam per plan with a two-inch minimum bearing requirement. The steel roof deck spans across the beam flange with a maximum one-foot span condition. Fillet welds join the assembly with three-sixteenth-inch welds spaced at twelve inches. The edge condition maintains a maximum four-and-three-quarter-inch clearance from the cladding face to the centerline of the beam.
