Cold-formed steel kickers attach to overhead metal deck using low velocity powder-actuated fasteners. The perpendicular configuration utilizes an L 68 mil 5 inch by 4 inch by one foot four inches long angle secured with 0.145 inch diameter by one and one-quarter inch minimum embedment Ramset or Redhead 1500 series fasteners at three-inch minimum spacing. The parallel configuration utilizes an L 68 mil 3 inch by 2 inch by 11 inches long angle fastened similarly into the deck flutes. Kicker size and spacing are determined per wall sections.
