Four standard ledger angle configurations relative to the top of structural steel beams, including ledger angles positioned above the beam top of steel, six inches or less below, and six inches or greater below. Each connection utilizes a ledger angle sized per plan welded to the beam web with three-sixteenths inch welds at twelve inches on center typically. Additional one-quarter inch thick stiffener plates or gusset plates are provided at forty-eight inches on center for conditions where dimension 'A' is one inch or less or where the top flange thickness is less than or equal to one-half inch. Steel deck and concrete fill are omitted for clarity.
