A wide-flange column base plate connection is secured with eight ASTM F1554 Grade 55 anchor bolts having a twenty-inch embedment and plate washers. The base plate features two-inch-diameter holes and is supported over one and a half inches of non-shrink grout. Half-inch stiffener plates are welded to each side of the member using five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Below the base plate assembly, a rebar cage configured with five number five ties provides foundational reinforcement.
