An embedded steel plate designated as EP-2 measures 10 inches by 1 foot 1 inch and aligns with the interior face of the concrete masonry unit wall. Four ASTM A706 number 5 reinforcing bars measuring 3 feet 0 inches long serve as anchors welded to the back of the plate. Fillet welds using E80 electrodes sized at 5/16 inch connect the anchors typically. The plate layout includes detailed center-to-center dimensions for the anchor locations relative to the plate edges.
