A utility pipe is set within a backfilled trench running parallel to a concrete footing sized per plan and schedule. A two-foot minimum clearance is maintained horizontally from the edge of the footing to the trench. The bottom of the trench must remain above a line projected from the bottom of the footing at a slope of one vertical to two horizontal, maintaining at least six inches of separation.
