An existing steel channel connects through a masonry wall using a three-quarter-inch threaded rod secured with couplers, nuts, and washers. A 6x6x3/8-inch bearing plate is set in epoxy or mortar for full bearing on brick and mortar joints. A screen tube with epoxy fills the annulus across the full thickness of the wall. Finishes are removed to the face of brick, and a headed anchor is used to minimize projection into occupied exposed locations.
