A steel beam connects to the flange of a wide flange steel column using a connection plate welded to the column and bolted to the beam web. A maximum one-half inch clearance is maintained between the beam end and the column face. Bolt sizes, weld sizes, and connection plate thicknesses are sized per the structural schedule. A note indicates that all fasteners and welds follow the typical steel beam web connection details and schedule.
