A structural concrete construction joint is located within the middle one-third of a beam span between a first and second pour. The joint includes a notched keyway profile with continuous reinforcing steel extending across the connection. Additional tie requirements are specified based on member width, ranging from one number six bar each way for members up to seven inches wide up to six number six bars each way for members wider than forty inches. Additional number six bars at twelve inches each way are noted for mat footings. Beam depth is divided into thirds with specific dimensional spacings for ties and dowels adjacent to the vertical joint interface.
