A thickened concrete slab on grade transition edge with reinforcing steel bars configured along the perimeter. The exterior edge maintains a minimum two-foot clearance down to the finished exterior grade. Reinforcement includes bent longitudinal bars following the sloped edge profile and transverse reinforcing bars placed throughout the thickened section.
