A self-leveling curb bears on a new wide flange beam, anchored to the top flange by others. The wide flange beam features half-inch stiffener plates on each side at four feet on center for beams longer than six feet, welded with typical five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. An existing wood rafter frames into a new Simpson F-series hanger supported by the beam assembly. An existing roof with sheathing connects to the curb using an eighteen gauge by two-inch galvanized strap placed on top of the sheathing and fastened with Hilti XU pins at six inches on center.
