Cold-formed metal studs connect to a concrete over metal deck assembly using custom fabricated fourteen-gauge clips or pre-manufactured clips secured with four number ten sheet metal screws. A closure plate spans the slab edge, detailed with specific clearances and fillet welds. Jamb studs designated as J2, J3, or J4 utilize clip angles on both sides for lateral support. Dimensions specify maximum one-inch clearance and half-inch maximum gaps.
