This one-sided steel beam-to-beam connection uses a shear tab bolted to the supported beam web and welded to the supporting member. The supporting member web is reinforced with three-eighths-inch full-height stiffener plates and three-eighths-by-four-inch plates on each side matching the beam flange width, welded with quarter-inch welds on two sides and three sides respectively.
