A structural steel beam connects to a supporting column flange using a full-depth connection plate welded with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld. The framing beam is secured with bolts spaced according to standard beam gauge requirements, maintaining a minimum one and one-half inch clearance from the flange edge. A one-inch minimum typical dimension provides necessary clearance for the connection geometry. Additional structural support members and framing clips are detailed below the primary connection point.
