Cold-formed steel joists are stabilized with a continuous 362S162-33 strongback installed at eight feet on center where stud spans exceed eight feet, attached with two number ten sheet metal screws at each stud. Full-depth blocking is provided at eight feet on center at the strongback, featuring clipped flanges and a folded web attached at each end with two number ten sheet metal screws, while the strongback itself is secured to the blocking with three number ten sheet metal screws.
