A typical exterior concrete footing and stem wall supports an overhead glazing assembly. The concrete footing is one foot wide with a minimum depth of two feet and requires three inches of concrete clear cover. Reinforcement consists of one continuous number four bar at the top and bottom of the footing, supplemented by number four bars spaced at eighteen inches on center. The stem wall transitions up to receive a glazing system sized per architectural drawings.
