A structural steel column specified per the steel column schedule is centered on a rectangular base plate measuring 3 inches by 24 inches by 2 feet 4 inches. Anchor rods are arranged around the perimeter per the typical column base plate Type 2 detail. A grout hole is provided through the plate in accordance with note 1. Grid lines intersect at the column centerline for setting out on plan.
