A crane support beam and rail provided by the crane supplier is mounted atop a typical W12x65 haunch framing into a structural steel column. Seven-eighth-inch continuity plates align with the beam flanges inside the column web, secured with complete joint penetration welds. Beam web stiffeners are welded to the web with three-eighth-inch fillet welds typical on both sides, while the haunch flanges connect with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds typical. All structural interfaces require field coordination with the crane supplier.
