A wide-flange steel beam connects to a concrete wall via a three-quarter inch steel embed plate equipped with three-quarter inch diameter weld studs. The beam web bolts to a centered web plate welded to the embed plate, featuring a coped bottom flange and a quarter-inch fillet weld. Additional reinforcement includes number four vertical and horizontal hairpin ties embedded in the concrete wall around the stud anchors. A companion schedule specifies stud counts, spacing, and plate dimensions based on beam depths ranging from eight to twenty-four inches.
