An HSS column bears onto a base plate anchored to a CLT floor and underlying glulam beam. The base plate is secured using eight 10x260 fasteners installed in pre-drilled holes into the glulam beam. A drag strap is integrated at the floor level per plan. Gusset plates are welded to the HSS column and base plate.
