This assembly consists of an HSS 5x3x1/4 hollow structural section cantilever beam welded to an HSS 6x6x5/16 column. A 1/4 inch thick cap plate is provided at the top of the column. The cantilever beam is secured with a 1/4 inch fillet weld. The assembly supports fuel piping with a maximum design load of 20 pounds per linear foot. The maximum horizontal cantilever dimension is 3 feet 6 inches, or 2 feet 0 inches when multiple beams cantilever from the same column. All ends of the hollow structural section members must be sealed to prevent water leaks.
