A three-sixteenths-inch-thick ASTM A36 steel plate is anchored to a concrete substrate using a one-half-inch-diameter Hilti KB-TZ2 expansion anchor with a two-and-one-half-inch effective embedment per ESR-4266. An angle member is positioned above and coordinated with the bed base. The plate transfers lateral loads directly into the concrete foundation through the mechanical anchor.
