Cross-laminated timber panels abut with a maximum gap of one-eighth inch, joined across the joint by a continuous steel strap centered along the panel connection and sized per the steel spline schedule. The assembly utilizes Simpson LDSS or WSV screws spaced at four inches or two inches on center depending on the connection type. Strap continuity is maintained throughout by fully lapping ends of coil straps per manufacturer instructions.
