A concrete housekeeping pad is placed over a structural slab-on-grade or composite metal deck slab with a minimum four-and-a-half-inch edge clearance. The pad requires a minimum reinforcing of two number four bars each way, with additional number four bars spaced at ten inches each way. The structural slab surface must be bonded or roughened if the pad is poured separately. When pad height is twelve inches or greater, additional number four bars are required for embedment depth. Anchor rods are installed as required by the equipment supplier.
