A parallel edge closure assembly for metal floor or roof decking. An edge closure flashing, matching the same gauge as the deck, is fastened to the corrugated steel deck using number 10 screws spaced at four inches on center. The assembly bears on a structural steel edge member and is secured with five-eighths inch diameter puddle welds sized per structural notes. The connection provides proper edge containment and load transfer at the perimeter of the metal deck diaphragm.
