An exhaust fan platform with a maximum weight capacity of 900 pounds is supported by open-web steel bar joists and wood framing members sized 4x8. Simpson MSTA9 straps are installed with two straps on each side at all four corners to secure the platform assembly. Fasteners connect the wood members and steel strapping to maintain structural integrity under equipment loads.
